In December 2024, AdOpt underwent a significant update, introducing changes to the former "Opt-out Page." This feature has been expanded and now has new names and purposes: Requests Page and Privacy Portal.
In this guide, we’ll detail these changes and how to use them.
With the update, the Requests Page replaces the former "Opt-out Page" and can be configured and edited directly in the platform. This page is automatically updated for users who had a prior configuration.
This section offers three options:
This option removes the link from the Cookie Banner, eliminating the ability to make requests easily. If you choose this option, consult your company’s legal team to define an alternative that complies with the legislation.
You can select pages previously created. If an Opt-out Page was configured earlier, it will appear as an “existing page.” This page can be edited (in the Privacy Portal) and updated. Otherwise, you can create a new page by clicking the button to start the configuration.
Lastly, you can select custom URLs to fulfill the purpose of the Data Subject Requests Form (DSR). Do not confuse this field with the Privacy Page. Here, you should provide a flow that allows users to exercise their data subject rights.
In this field, you can:
If a default language is configured, it will be used when the visitor’s browser language is unavailable. For example, if the default language is English and a visitor’s browser is set to Russian, they will be redirected to the English page.
tip: For users who previously used the “Opt-out Page”, information was automatically migrated.Info
You can now create a Requests Page directly on the AdOpt platform. This feature expands customization options, enabling you to create a form to receive requests quickly, without programming needs.
This section is divided into two columns:
Configure the text and information for the page:
tip: Use the "Observations" field to request essential information for processing requests. Avoid asking for optional or unnecessary data.Info
Select which requests will be available for each legislation. AdOpt already provides default configurations based on legal recommendations.
tip: For users of the old Opt-out Page, only two types of requests might be enabled: data access and Data removal. Check if your pages are updated with all recommended options.Info
Add your company’s visual identity:
Don’t forget to save your changes.
The Privacy Portal is a comprehensive section for the entire organization. It includes:
Lists all requests made through the Requests Pages linked to the Cookie Banners. You can:
